Find your daily calorie target in under a minute. No signup, no email — just the numbers, with the same safety checks Calora's app uses.
We use this to work out a calorie and macro target that's actually yours.
If you know it, we'll use a more precise formula (Katch-McArdle).
These decide whether we show you a number at all.
Mifflin-St Jeor by default, Katch-McArdle if you know your body fat % — the same formulas a dietitian would use.
Protein, carbs, fat and fiber targets sized to your goal and pace.
We won't recommend an unsafe deficit — floors, deficit caps and screening questions are baked in, not optional.
BMR is the calories your body burns at complete rest. TDEE adds your activity level on top — it's the number that actually tells you how much to eat to maintain, lose or gain weight.
It uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation (or Katch-McArdle if you enter body fat %), which are the same formulas used clinically. Any calculator is an estimate — treat the result as a starting range, not a guarantee.
No. This calculator works with no account and nothing is saved. Create a free Calora account only if you want to track meals against this target day to day.
A few situations — under 18, pregnant or breastfeeding, a BMI already under 18.5, or a history of disordered eating — aren't safe for a generic calculator to size a deficit for. We show that refusal instead of a number, and point you to a doctor or dietitian.
Calora turns a photo of your plate into calories and macros in ~5 seconds, and logs it against the target you just calculated.
